On March 14th 2003, a plane carrying Amanda Davis and her parents
crashed into a mountain in North Carolina. There were no survivors.
Amanda's friends and family have set up a memorial scholarship,
the Amanda Davis Fellow in Fiction
at the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference.
