In Memoriam:

On March 14th 2003, a plane carrying Amanda Davis and her parents crashed into a mountain in North Carolina. There were no survivors.

Amanda's friends and family have set up a memorial scholarship, the Amanda Davis Fellow in Fiction at the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference. The Amanda Davis Highwire Fiction Award is a $5,000 grant awarded to a young woman writer 32 years or younger, in memory of Amanda.
